Handcrafted expertise, from design to acoustics

Each Rain Pillar is designed and handcrafted in our workshop in Montpellier, France.

Wood, cork, silica, seeds and natural fibres are carefully selected and assembled to create an even internal flow and a balanced sound. The internal construction, the proportions of the instrument and the distribution of materials directly influence the duration, texture and depth of the rainfall sound.

The craftsmanship therefore goes far beyond the external appearance: it plays a central role in the acoustic behaviour of the instrument and in the coherence of the object as a whole.

French polish, a natural and demanding finish

The finish is created with a 100% natural varnish, applied by hand using the French-polishing technique.

This process protects the wood while revealing its grain, depth and natural variations. The varnish does not contain substances harmful to indoor air quality and is harmless to the skin, making it particularly suitable for an object that is regularly handled and designed to be part of living or welcoming spaces.

The finish contributes to the visual quality, tactile feel and durability of each piece while preserving the natural character of the wood.

Which Rain Pillar should you choose?

The 15-minute model is particularly suited to those looking for longer listening, broader sound diffusion and a more pronounced acoustic presence than the 5- or 8-minute models.

It is especially well suited to sound therapy, music therapy, sound baths, relaxation, small groups or spaces where the sound needs enough presence to remain fully perceptible.

For more intimate use, very quiet environments or shorter listening periods, the 8-minute Rain Pillar will generally be more suitable.
