The zebrano finish highlights the veneer work on this 48 cm Rain Pillar. Made from engineered natural wood veneer, its surface is designed to achieve a more consistent pattern while retaining the subtle variations of genuine wood. Handcrafted in Montpellier, the instrument produces a soft, clear rain sound for at least 5 minutes.

To fully enjoy the sound sample, we recommend listening with headphones or earphones. The zebrano finish is made from engineered natural wood veneer.
This is not a plastic printed decoration. The material is made from thin sheets of real wood that are processed and assembled to produce a more consistent pattern and tone.
The technique creates a clearly defined visual identity while preserving the character of natural wood. Small variations can therefore occur from one veneer to another.
Thin sheets of wood are first sliced, then prepared and coloured. They are assembled and pressed into blocks before being sliced again at selected angles to reveal the desired pattern.
This process provides greater control over the design of the veneer than untreated natural grain alone, without attempting to make every instrument completely identical.
Beneath the different finish is exactly the same acoustic design as the other 5-minute models.
Once turned over, the internal elements gradually descend through the Rain Pillar, producing a soft, clear and delicate rain sound for at least 5 minutes.
Its compact size is particularly suited to personal listening or two people and to spaces with low background noise. For group use or noisier surroundings, a larger model will generally provide a more suitable acoustic presence.
The veneer affects the visual appearance of the instrument only. It does not change its operation, duration or acoustic characteristics.
Each Rain Pillar is handcrafted in our workshop in Montpellier using wood, cork, silica, seeds and natural fibres. The cork is produced and processed in France, and the natural varnish is made directly in the workshop.
The combination of handcrafting and natural veneer means that two instruments with the same finish may show slight visual differences.
