5-minute Rain Pillar – rosewood finish

A compact format for gentle, extended listening

At 48 cm, this Rain Pillar is the smallest model in the range. Once turned over, its internal elements gradually descend through the instrument, creating a soft, even rain sound for at least 5 minutes.

Its compact size is particularly suited to personal listening or two people in a space with little background noise. It can accompany meditation, massage, relaxation or simply a moment devoted to listening.

A subtle sound for quiet spaces

The 5-minute model is designed for close, attentive listening. For larger groups or spaces where greater acoustic presence is required, one of the larger Rain Pillar models will generally be more suitable.

A rosewood finish with a distinctive visual presence

The rosewood finish gives this version a different visual personality from the other finishes in the collection.
Even when it is not being played, the Rain Pillar remains a visually distinctive sound object, chosen as much for its appearance as for the listening experience it offers.

Engineered natural wood veneer

The surface is made from engineered natural wood veneer. This technique allows the pattern and overall consistency of the finish to be controlled while preserving the characteristics of real wood. Small visual variations may therefore occur from one instrument to another. They are part of the natural appearance of the veneer rather than the uniformity of a synthetic surface.

The term “rosewood” refers here to the appearance of the finish. It does not mean that the instrument’s body is made of rosewood. Some wood species sold under this name are protected, and their international trade is regulated by CITES.

A different finish, the same acoustic design

The finish affects the appearance of the Rain Pillar only. It does not change its construction, operation or sound duration. This version therefore retains all the characteristics of the 5-minute model, including its compact 48 cm format and its sound designed for close listening.

Handcrafted in Montpellier

Each Rain Pillar is handcrafted in our workshop in Montpellier using wood, cork, silica, seeds and natural fibres.
The cork is produced and processed in France, while the natural varnish is made directly in the workshop before being applied during the finishing process.
