The Harmony of Acoustics, Wellness, and Design

It all started with a simple intention: to create an instrument whose sound quality would meet the high expectations of professional musicians and sound practitioners.

Together with Mickaël Amand, a cabinetmaker and restorer of antique furniture and art, we developed a range of Rainsticks where every detail counts: the purity of the sound, the fine grain of the wood, the regularity of the flow, the harmonic richness, and the perfectly controlled duration.

These instruments were conceived to meet the rigorous demands of musical practices, music therapy, sound healing (sonotherapy), meditation, and all disciplines where acoustic quality is central.

But very quickly, a second objective emerged: to open this instrument to a much wider audience. Because the sound of a rainstick is not just for professionals. It brings calmness, recentering, gentleness, and a connection to nature—benefits that concern every one of us.

An Instrument for Daily Well-being

We wanted to create an object that naturally finds its place in everyday life—at home, in a bedroom, in a living room, or in a dedicated quiet space.

An object capable of soothing, aiding concentration, promoting sleep induction, or simply creating a soft, natural, and gentle sound ambiance.

Our rainsticks thus become companions for:

• Adults seeking serenity or recentering (mindfulness).

• Seniors for whom the soft sound is a source of support and comfort.

• Hypersensitive children, gifted children (HPI), children with ADHD/ADD, or those who struggle to channel their emotions.

• Children who have difficulty falling asleep or who experience anxiety.

• Anyone in need of a reassuring sound landmark.

Their use is particularly meaningful in educational environments.

In school settings, creative workshops, relaxation activities, or collective centering times, the rainsticks provide a simple, immediate, accessible, and calming experience.

Beyond the sound, we focused on the design: contemporary lines, 100% biodegradable materials sourced in France, and a natural, sober aesthetic.

The object is no longer just an instrument: it is also a piece of design that seamlessly integrates into any space.

This opens up a wide range of applications:

• Waiting rooms, relaxation areas.

• Businesses and seminar venues.

• Therapeutic practices (offices).
